I was wondering if the PS3 needs to be cleaned every so often. I mean if you need to clean the inside of the computer case to get rid of dust then I believe a PS3 needs to be cleaned.
Can somebody make a guide that shows how to properly clean the PS3.

Get a compressor or a can of compressed air. Compressor is better as the air is far more compressed. Turn on the ps3 and blow all the vents. If you've never done this, you will get a lot of dust out.

WARNING!
Some compressors DO NOT have water seperaters in the line and you may blow water from the air tank into the device.
Be sure that you at least bleed the tank to allow water to escape and reduce the chances.
Although you get a much higher CFM with the compressor, your best bet is the canned air specific for PC cleaning.
