Phone won't turn on
No matter what you do, you can't get your phone to turn on.
Hold switch on
Before removing any parts from the phone, hold the power button to ensure the phone won't turn on.
If your phone still doesn't turn on, your battery may be dead. If you are sure the phone is charged and it still won't turn on, you may need to replace the battery. You can follow this guide to replace your battery.
It is possible that it appears nothing is happening because the display is bad. You can follow this guide to replace the LED screen on the phone.
Phone will not get reception
No matter what you do, your phone will not enter the service area.
Be in a cell service zone
Ensure that you are in a location that gets adequate cell phone reception. If you are underground (e.g. in a subway) or in the mountains, you may need to be in a location closer to cell phone towers.
If you are sure you are in a service zone and still cannot get reception, you may need to replace your antenna. You can follow this guide in order to do that properly.
If none of these steps fix the reception issue, you may need to replace the phone, as the motherboard may be damaged beyond repair.
Key pad is not working
If your keys seem to be stuck in the "pressed" position or they aren't working properly.
Broken key pad
If the keys will not come unstuck, the key pad is most likely damaged and should be replaced. You can follow this guide in order to replace the key pad.
If replacing the key pad does not solve the issue, you should probably replace the motherboard or purchase a replacement phone.
Phone will not hold its charge
If you phone's battery seems to die very quickly.
Charger cable is not fully plugged in
Your phone's charging cable may not be correctly plugged into the wall or into the phone's charging port. Ensure that the cable is plugged in all the way.
It is likely that your battery is damaged and should be replaced. You can follow this guide to replace your battery.
Bad charging cable/cord
If replacing the battery does not help with the charging issue, you could try purchasing a new charging cable/cord.
If none of these steps have solved your issue, the motherboard could be damaged and should be replaced, or a new phone should be purchased.
