Tribit StormBox IC-BTS30 Produces Distorted or Hissing Sound

Is your Tribit StormBox IC-BTS30 have distorted audio? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.

If the speaker is making distorted or hissing sounds, it can because of how the tribit app defaults the bass boost or EQ (equalizer) setting to be on automatically. These can be turned off using the app. Try lowering the volume to about 70% - 80%, on both the speaker and phone connected.

Distorted or hissing sound could originate from having a low battery. Try charging your speaker for 30 minutes before reusing it.

Make sure the speaker is charged before starting this troubleshoot. Reset your EQ to normal settings and let the speaker fully dry.

If any of these trouble shoots did not fix the issue, you will need to replace the hardware itself.
