Stuttering, Slow, or Dropped Connections

Audio repeatedly stutters, lags, or otherwise freezes up repeatedly

Poor Weather Conditions

Poor weather such as heavy cloud cover, rain, snow, or dense fog can interfere with radio operation. If this is an issue, finding a patch of clear sky or waiting for the weather pattern to pass will be required for the signal quality to improve.

Device Antenna is Obstructed

Dense foliage, buildings such as garages, or other structures such as overpasses can block signals, travelling out of the way of such obstructions will allow satellite signals to again reach your radio.

Device Isn't Firmly In Dock

To dock the media player, first align the posts with the holes, and with your free hand, try to hold the dock and press the media player down until its fully seated into the dock. If there is still connection issues due to docking, then cleaning the port may help remove debris that are causing the obstruction.

External Antenna Isn't Working Properly

The external antenna may be improperly connected, firmly plugging the device back in after cleaning the port may help alleviate these issues.

Inaccessible Channels

Channels previously available are suddenly no longer accessible, may be grayed out or simply not present

Unrenewed or Canceled Subscription

Your subscription to SiriusXM may have expired, visit the Online Account Center to check the status of your account, pay bills, or manage your subscription.

Signal Connection Failure

Sometimes your radio will fail to connect to the signal and may need to have a refresh signal sent. Make sure you have your device ID (which can be found by tuning your device to channel 0 or on your online account under “active radios/subscriptions”), and you can request a refresh signal here.

Static Audio

Audio frequently emits static while the device is on and playing.

The FM frequency is what provides the radio to transport the sound to the Sirius S50 executive system, the FM Frequency is determined by the distance from the satellite or radio station you are listening to your music from, static can be cause by a shortage of internal wavelength reaching to the Sirius S50 executive system. The issue could also come from the wiring if the cables are not connected to the plug-in or system correctly.

Issues With FM Frequency

If the system is emitting static when playing music, the station has a low power radio, which means they do not have enough power in their broadcasting station to transmit the music. Another issue is the Sirius S50 Executive system does not produce enough power to play the station you desire; try finding the radio you are looking for in your car, if the station is making the same noise in your car, then it is the station and not the system, if it is not, then follow the next step to check the cable connections.

Poorly Connected or loose Cables

Make sure the cords you are using on the Sirius S50 Executive system are connected correctly, if are cords connecting to the system are still causing static and it is not the FM Frequency, you may need to replace the cords.

Damaged Headphones or Other Damaged Components

When you are wearing headphones and there is static coming through the headphones, try another pair of headphones and see if the static is still there. If the static is still occurring into to headphones you might need to replace the headphone jack.

Audio Is Too Quiet, Fading Audio

Audio that is slowing, decreases or loses sound.

Faulty Tuner

Make sure you check to see if the tuner is securely plugged in to the head unit. If the Tuner is completely plugged in, wiggle the wires and connectors and listen for any disrupted sound.

Broken Antenna

If an antenna is bent, broken, or not securely plugged in this can cause fading audio. A simple way to check your antenna is restart the antenna, unplug, wait 30 seconds, and re-plugin the antenna into the head system. If there is still a disruption in the sound, you’ll need to replace the antenna.
