Philips TAS7507 Troubleshooting
This troubleshooting page will help you diagnose issues with the Philips TAS7507 Wireless Speaker.
Speaker Will Not Power On
The speaker will not respond or show any sign of powering on.
Device Not Charged
Make sure that the speaker has been fully charged to 100%. Try charging it overnight to ensure it has been fully charged which you tell by the 4 blinking white lights on the button. Each white light represents at least 25% battery of the speaker's battery.
See here to look over the Motherboard repair guide which also helps replace the capacitor.
Power Button is Obstructed
Sometimes the power button gets stuck which prevents you from turning on the device. Try cleaning the power button and pushing the button hard until you hear a clicking sound.
Speaker Will Not Charge
The speaker will not hold charge or will not charge.
- Make sure that the USB socket is properly connected to the speaker
- Make sure that the charger you're using for the speaker actually works
- Make sure to charge your device for at least 4.5 hours
Incorrect Voltage, Amperage
Ensure the charging cable is properly inserted into the speaker and the power source. If the charger is properly connected and the light on the speaker does not turn on to indicate charging then the power source may be incorrect. Check to make sure the power adapter is appropriate and is delivering 5 volts and 2 amps to the speaker.
Exhausted or Faulty Battery
If the charger is properly connected and the charge light on the speaker is on, but the speaker only turns on while plugged in, then the battery may be faulty. It may be damaged preventing it from holding a charge, click here to find out how to change the battery.
Damaged Charger Cable
Inspect the charging cable for tears in the insulation. If you can see the silver or copper wire inside then the insulation is severely damaged. Inspect the exposed wire to see if it has broken or torn. If so, you may need to purchase a new cable. Monitor the speaker lights to see if the charger is actually charging to find out if it's the charger or speaker.
Or if USB-A and/or USB-C ports have damage; click here to see USB-A & USB-C port repair guide.

Sound is Distorted
The speaker can no longer produce the original quality of sound and instead makes a muddy or sharp sound that is unpleasant to listen to. Click here to see the Speaker Repair guide.
Volume Too High
Turn the volume down. Having the speaker at max volume over long periods of time can damage the speaker or push it beyond what it can handle.
Cable Management
Choose better or higher quality cables for your speaker because if you use improper cables for the speaker it can lead to overheating because the cables fail to manage and distribute the heat produced. If the damage is too much we will either have to replace the speaker or repair the parts that are damaged.
Poor Volume Level
The volume of the speaker is very low or quiet even though you have increased the volume on the speaker.
Bluetooth Distorted Connection
The distance can result in the volume getting lower or sometimes cutting out since the signal is too weak for the speaker to hang on to. The battery on your phone or your speaker can also influence the loudness of your speaker due to it struggling with power while also trying to maintain the Bluetooth connection.
Priority Connection
Check who is connected to the speaker multiple people can be connected to a speaker and the speaker can only output the sound of one device. If you are the second one to pair with the speaker it will say that you are connected but no sound will be outputted. So double-check who is connected or reset the speaker and connect to it again.
