Device is powered on but unresponsive

If your Palm is on but not responding to buttons pressed you will need to restart the device. The reset button is located on the back of the Palm. It should be small home with a button underneath it. Simply take a paper clip and press the button for several seconds. You will not lose any data or settings by restarting this way.

Palm does not turn on or dies immediately after being taken out of charger

To remedy this problem you will need to replace the battery. First do a HotSync to back up your data then see our guide here.

Any software issues you may be encountering on your device

A warm reset is like a normal reset, but uses the systems original files to boot up. To do this hold down the scroll up button while pressing the reset button located on the back of the device with a paper clip. You will not lose any data or settings by restarting this way but you should remove any startup procedures that could be causing this problem.

Your palm will not connect to your computer via HotSync

Your device could be failing to HotSync for a variety of reasons. Refer to the palm website for help.

Nothing above matches your problem or the listed solutions did not work

A hard reset will restart your Palm, but you will lose all your settings and data. To do this reset, hold the power button down while pressing in the reset button located on the back of your device with a paper clip. You will then be prompted to press the scroll up button.
