Device does not properly charge
The device has a short battery life or won't charge at all.
Defective Power Adapter
Make sure that adapter is fully plugged into the device and outlet. If these are plugged in, and the device still does not show any signs of charging, it may be due to the adapter rather than your device. If possible, try charging a different device with this adapter to verify that the adapter is the reason. If that device also doesn't charge, consider purchasing a new power adapter.
Charging Port Cluttered
If there is dust/dirt in your charging port, it may not allow for the device to be properly charged. If this is the case, the best way to clean the charging port would be purchasing a can of compressed air and cleaning the charging port of any lingering debris.
Faulty Battery
If the power adapter is plugged in, you are sure that it works, and you device still does not charge, it is most likely due to a faulty battery. You can replace the battery using this guide.
Device can not connect to Wi-Fi
Device is not connecting to the Wi-Fi.
Wireless Network Requires a Password
Make sure to check the wireless network that you are using doesn't require a password. If it does, make sure to use it. If the previous password to the wireless network you are trying to connect to has been changed since originally connecting the device, make sure to forget the network through your device settings and re-connect with the new password.
Wireless Network settings are incompatible with your device
Make sure that the network you are trying to connect with has settings that are compatible with your device. Make sure that your router's security settings use a wpa that the tablet needs to connect (Device uses WPA, some routers send out WPA2)
Wireless Network is offline
There's a chance that the wireless network you are trying to connect to is down. Make sure that your other devices can connect to the internet as well and if not you should reset your router by unplugging it for 5 minutes and then plugging it back in. If this still doesn't work on any of your devices, you should contact your network provider.

Device's screen is too dim or not showing anything at all.
The Screen is Broken
If the screen is broken you will have to replace your screen.
The Backlight isn't working
If you can still barely see the screen, head over to settings and make sure the brightness isn't turned all the way down. However, if you can't see the screen at all, then you may need to replace the backlight.
Device has no sound
The device is not producing any sound.
The sound is off
Before trying to take apart the device to fix the speakers, ensure that the volume isn't set to "0". NuVision's TM116W725L manual can show you where to find the volume button on your device.
Headphones not connected
If you are using a pair of wired headphones, verify that the headphone port is clear from any dirt or debris. If you are using a pair of Bluetooth headphones make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your device and that your headphones are turned on. If there are still issues with your Bluetooth pairing, try resetting the device and syncing them again.
Faulty headphones/speakers
Sometimes the headphones or speakers themselves that you are trying to use are damaged or broken. Take the headphones or speakers that you are trying to use and try them in a different device and make sure they work on the other device before taking steps to take apart the device.
Speakers are broken
If you have tried every other option to get the sound back and you are still experiencing this problem, you may need to replace the speaker. You can get help with that using this speaker replacement guide.
Memory Failure / Not enough Storage
Device has run out of storage and is unable to function properly.
Device has too many unwanted files
Before attempting to replace the microSD card, try and free as much space as possible on the device. To start, go through your files and delete all unwanted files. Common unwanted files could be copies of Windows Updates, memory dump files or internet files. To do this easily, try using disk cleanup.
MicroSD needs to be replaced
If you have deleted all of the unwanted files on your device and still cannot free up enough space for the device to function properly, first create a backup of your files (Either on a USB or a web service). Next, take steps to replace the MicroSD, which is explained using this guide.
