Phone Won't Turn On

No matter what you do, you can't get your Phone to turn on.

Hold Switch On

Before delving into the guts of your Phone, hold down the power button on the top of the phone to verify that it is unresponsive.

Drained/Bad Battery

If your Phone won't turn on, it may be due to a dead or bad battery. Plug the phone into a power source to test if the batter is dead. If your phone is still unresponsive, you may need a new battery. Battery Won't Charge

Even if you plug the Phone into an outlet, the battery will not charge.

Bad Connection

If your Phone will not charge, this may be due to a faulty connection.

  • Check that the charge cable is firmly inserted into the Phone. Check inside the of the charging port of the Phone to verify that there is no dirt or gunk that would cause a bad connection.
  • Also check that the outlet is working and that the charger is firmly plugged into the outlet.

Battery is Not in Phone

Check that the battery is in the back of the phone and that it has been inserted correctly.

Phone Won't Turn Off

No matter what you do, you can't get your Phone to turn off.

Frozen Screen/Buttons

If the screen and buttons are frozen on the phone and it is unresponsive, try removing the battery, then replacing it and pressing the Power On button on the top of the phone.

Restore Factory Settings

To restore your phone to its default settings, select MENU > SETTINGS > Rest. Factory Sett. Choose one of the following:

  • Restore Settings Only - resets preference settings without deleting personal data
  • Restore All - resets preference settings as well as deletes all personal data (ie. Contacts, Media Files, etc.)

No Media Audio

Faulty Headphones

It is possible your headphones are broken and need to be replaced.

Headphone Jack

There could be a bad connection between your headphones and the headphone jack. Try cleaning out the headphone jack with a Q-tip.
