Phone will not power on
While holding the red power button, the phone does not turn on.
Bad Outlet
If your outlet is bad, this will cause the charger not to charge. Try another outlet.
Faulty Charger
Plug your charger into the wall and into your phone. If your phone does not light up, use a voltage meter to see if any voltage is getting to the contacts. If not, then your charging cable has failed and needs to be replaced.
Bad Battery
If your charger is working, but the screen will not turn on, nor does the light behind the keyboard, The battery may need to be replaced. See Battery Replacement
Broken or Sticky Power Button
If the power button does not turn on the phone, or the button sticks while pressing it, and your won't phone won't turn on. Remove the battery, then remove the front cover, check the back of the numerical pad for broken prongs. If it is broken or worn down, replace the keypad.
Bad Circuit Board
With the cover off, try pressing directly onto the power button location with a blunt object. If there is no change the circuit board might be bad.
Faulty Screen
If your phone lights up behind the keyboard, but the screen does not come on that means your phone is powering on, but your screen is not working. You can try cleaning the contacts on the screen. If there is no change, then the screen should be replaced. See Display Replacement
Water Damage
If your phone happens to come in contact with water, you may need to remedy the water damage by taking the phone apart, drying as much as possible, and cleaning with 90% rubbing alcohol. An alternative method is putting the phone in a Ziploc bag of rice for 24 hours.
Phone dies quickly
Battery life is short-lived
Bad Battery
The battery on the phone was manufactured to last 3.5 hours of talk time and up to 5 days on standby. If you are getting a fraction of this, replace the battery. See Battery Replacement
Faulty Charger
Plug the charger into the phone. If the phone turns on but turns off once the phone is unplugged, clean the contacts on both the battery and the phone with lemon juice or rubbing alcohol (lemon juice can sometimes be helpful in removing oxidation/corrosion, but it should not be used as a general-purpose electrical cleaner). If the phone still powers off once unplugged from the charger, the battery has failed and needs to be replaced. See Battery Replacement
Water Damage
If your phone happens to come in contact with water, you may need to remedy the water damage by taking the phone apart, drying as much as possible, and cleaning with 90% rubbing alcohol. An alternative method is putting the phone in a Ziploc bag of rice for 24 hours.
Phone drops calls
Conversations become drowned in static white noise
Faulty Antenna
If your cellular display is showing that you have no reception bars, try moving to another location to see if your reception increases. If there is no change in reception, replace the antenna. See Antenna Replacement
Audio distortion
Conversations are hard to hear
Bad Speaker
If you have full reception but hear a crackling sound while talking, remove speaker to clean contacts. If there is no change, replace the speaker. See Speaker Replacement
Poor Audio Quality
If you can hear the other person well, but they cannot understand you, then the microphone could be covered with debris. You can remove the front cover and use a pin to push the debris through. If it is clear, try removing the microphone to clean contacts. If the microphone still does not work, it will need to be replaced. See Microphone Replacement
Water Damage

Cannot read display
You can only read part of the screen or the screen is cracked.
Bad Screen Connection
If the display goes black, try taking it out to clean the contacts. If there is no change or the display is pixelated, you should replace the screen. See Display Replacement
Cracked Screen
Screen needs to be replaced. See Display Replacement

Cannot Dial
Inputs on numerical keys are not being registered by the device
Bad Circuit Board
If the connections to the circuit board have gone bad, this can affect the keypad.
Faulty buttons
Replace the keypad.
