Laptop Is Running Slow/Freezing
The laptop takes substantially longer to start up than when you first got it.
Too Many Programs Running At Once
There are many programs that when they are installed will default to open on startup. Too many of these programs trying to start all at once can cause computers to become slow. On Windows 11 press “ctrl+alt+delete” and open the task manager. When the task manager is open navigate to the ‘Startup apps’ page (the button that looks like a speedometer). There will be a list of apps that open on startup, uninstall any that are unfamiliar or that you do not use anymore.
Running Out Of Disk Space
Windows(C:) drive will tell you how much free space is left on your hard drive. You can go through your files and remove any old applications or documents. If you have already removed any files you don’t want, but still need more space please refer to our Hard Drive Replacement Guide.

The fans in the computer seem to be running loudly, the computer gets very hot, and may shut off unexpectedly.
Fans Or Vents Need To Be Cleaned

If this is the case, cleaning the dust should be enough to make your device work properly again. If you need help accessing the fans follow the first few steps of the fan replacement guide.
Fans Are Broken
If the fans in your device are not spinning or if the blades are broken, You will need to replace them using this guide.
Not Enough Thermal Paste
If the fans are working properly and clean your problem may be between the heat sink and processor. Problems can arise if there is not enough thermal paste creating contact between the two. To fix this clean off all the thermal paste currently there, apply a new bead of thermal paste directly to the processor, gently press the heat sink back into place, and tighten the screws to lock it back in.

Screen Flickers During Use
The first thing you should check is if your drivers are up to date and or your computer needs an update. Refer to this guide on how to update drivers.
If the drivers weren't the issue then, reinstall Windows. Refer to this guide to reinstalling Windows cleanly, make sure you backup everything that you had on your laptop before reinstalling Windows.

The Laptop seems to die quickly after a full charge or won't fully charge.
Battery Needs To be Replaced
