Ensure that the projector is not muted by checking the volume buttons on the device.
Headphones are Plugged into the Device
If the device is connected to an earphone, the audio is being transmitted to that rather than the speakers.

Faulty Speaker
If the speaker has blown out or is faulty, use this speaker replacement guide.

Overheating
The device is getting too hot.
Vent Blockage
Check the vents on the back of the device and make sure nothing is obstructing their airflow. If the bottom of the device is hot, this is fine. The DR.J Professional HI-04 has good heat dissipation.
Device Run Time
Do not leave the device on for over four hours or when it gets hot. Turn it off until it cools down and then resume usage.
Projector Location
Put the device into a cool and well-ventilated space to avoid dust building up. Avoid warmer rooms as this could lead to overheating. There should also be no heating device near the device.
Broken Fan
Look at the fans and see if they are spinning when the device is turned on. The fan being loud is not broken. The HI-04 is a mini projector and needs to cool down quickly. Follow this guide to replace the fan of your project.
Device Does Not Power On
The projector will not respond or turn on.
Power Cord Plug
Ensure that the power cord is not loose and fully plugged into the port.
Main Power Switch
Check to see if the main power switch is flicked to “on.”
Faulty Fan
Feel the projector to see if the temperature is overheating. The projector has a safety feature that does not allow it to be turned on past certain temperatures so this should not be a factor. If the fan needs to be replaced, follow this guide.
Projector Lamp
Ensure that the projector lamp is not past its life expectancy. If it is, you may need to replace the lamp.
Faulty Motherboard
If you have checked the other components and the projector still won't turn on, it is likely the motherboard. Consider replacing the motherboard with this replacement guide.
1 Opmerking
Hi, I have managed to snap the adjustment piece that adjusts the projector to be level. What would be the best way about either setting it into one place permanently or ideally repairing it?
