Screen Replacement
The screen needs to be replaced.
Tablet is Powered Down
Make sure that the tablet is turned on. If the tablet is not on the screen will remain black and can appear as if it's not working. Turn the tablet on, by pressing or holding the power button.
Hands are Wet/ Tablet is Wet
A wet tablet or wet hands can cause your tablet to not recognize your fingerprint. If your hands or tablet are wet, make sure to dry them off. After drying clean your tablet with a microfiber cloth.
Screen Protector/ Case
The screen protector or case may be too thick, making the tablet unable to process anything you tap on. Remove the screen protector and try again. If you do not have a screen protector or have already removed it be sure to remove the case as well.
Tablet Needs to be Restarted
If the tablet is on and neither your hands nor tablet are wet, reset or restart your tablet. To do this, hold the power button until the tablet turns off, this may take 20 or more seconds.
Tablet Needs to be Charged
Make sure that the tablet is charged. If you are unsure, plug the charger in and wait a few hours before attempting to use the device again. If these steps fail to solve the problem you may need to replace the screen.
Battery Not Charging
The battery charger is plugged into the tablet, and yet it does not charge.
Charging Cable Not Plugged Into Wall Outlet
Check to make sure that both ends of the charging cable are plugged in correctly. They should be plugged into the tablets charging port and into the power outlet. If either end of the cable is loose, insert it all the way.
Charging Cable is Broken/Ripped
A broken or ripped charging cable can prevent proper transfer of energy from the wall outlet to the battery. If this is the case, then you will need to buy a new charging cable.
The Battery’s Lifespan Has Been Reached
All batteries have a lifespan and when it is reached, the battery will no longer hold a charge or power up. This can be fixed by replacing the current battery with a new one.
Charging port is damaged
Check not only the charging cable, but also the charger port on the tablet (the small, metal part where the charger plugs in.) Follow this guide to replace the charging port.
Tablet Camera is Not Working
The camera doesn't work.
The Camera May Be Disabled
The tablet camera may not be enabled. To enable it go into the tablet's settings, locate the camera option and click enable.
Camera Data Need To Be Cleared
Sometimes too much data can stop an application from working. To clear the camera data, go into settings, find the camera and choose the clear data option.
Camera Needs To Be Updated
If the camera isn't updated it may cause it to not work. To update it go into the tablet's settings, then about device, and then software update.
The Tablet Needs To Be Reset
Sometimes tablets act up for no apparent reason. To fix this reset the tablet by holding the power button down until it turns off or until an option to reset the device appears. If the problem is not fixed follow this guide.
No Audio
The tablet is producing no sound.
The Speaker Grill On the Back of the Tablet is Dirty
If the speaker grill is dirty this can cause no sound to come out. If it looks dusty or dirty, make sure to clean the grill of the tablet using either a soft bristle toothbrush or a vacuum that has a hose attachment.
The Volume is Muted
If the volume is muted this will make the tablet unable to produce sound. To unmute the device, go into your settings and turn the volume up. Alternatively, you can press the volume buttons located on the right side of the device.
Reset the Tablet
Sometimes the audio settings may have been unknowingly adjusted or the device may be acting weird, making the audio appear to not work. To fix this try resetting the device to see if the sound will come back on.
Use Headphones
If the audio still does not work after trying the 3 steps above, plug your headphones into the tablet and see if any noise comes out. If it works, then the speakers on the tablet may need to be replaced. You can follow this guide here to replace them.
Tablet Overheating
The tablet heats up excessively while in use.
The tablet is being used while it’s charging
A tablet that is being charged and used at the same time will require more energy and produce more heat. To avoid overheating the device refrain from using it while it charges.
There are many apps/pages running at once
If there are many apps or webpages open, it will cause the tablet to run slower and possibly overheat. To avoid this, make sure that all unnecessary apps and webpages are closed.
The tablet is left in a hot environment
Leaving your tablet in a hot environment, such as, exposing it to the sun directly for a prolonged amount of time or leaving it in a hot car, can cause it to heat up quickly. To prevent this from happening, remove the tablet from environments with high temperatures and place it somewhere cooler.
The settings might not be optimal
This can mean that the device is running settings that may be making the device do extra work. To fix this make sure that your tablet is running settings that don’t cause a lot of stress on the tablet. If you’d like you can reset the device to use the original settings it came with. To do this turn the tablet off. Next press and hold down the volume button until an options menu appears. Lastly, from the options menu choose the factory reset option. If these steps don't fix the problem you may need a new battery.
