Asus Zenfone Won't Turn On
No matter what you do, you can't get your ZenFone to turn on.
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake button
If your Asus ZenFone’s problem isn't so easily solved, read on.
Drained Battery
If your ZenFone won't turn on, especially if it has not been used recently, you may simply have a drained battery. Plug your ZenFone into your computer or AC adapter and see if anything happens. Ideally your ZenFone will recognize it has been connected to a power source and charge its battery.
Faulty Battery
If you have plugged in your phone to charge for awhile and it still won't turn on, then it could be that the battery is faulty.
Faulty Motherboard
If the phone still won't turn on after you have replaced the battery, then the problem may lie within the motherboard and it will need to be replaced.
Fails To Charge
Your ZenPhone does not seem like it is charging.
Corroded Charging Port
Corrosion often causes the charger and the charging port to be unable to connect. To check for corrosion, use a flashlight to look into the port. If the metals inside the port do not appear to be clean, or if they appear to be covered in green or white, the port is likely corroded. To rid the port of corrosion, spray compressed air into the port. One to three sprays should suffice depending on the amount of corrosion. Once you have sprayed the port, you can attempt to charge the phone again. If the phone continues to resist charging, repeat the steps once more.
Faulty Charging Port
If the phone will not charge after plugging in your charger and you have already checked for corrosion, there might be an issue with the charging port or battery. If replacing the battery also fails to work, try replacing the charging port.
Random Restarts
Your ZenPhone reboots itself at random times.
Faulty Motherboard
If you have problems with your phone rebooting at random times, you could have a faulty motherboard in your phone.
Not Vibrating Properly
Your ZenPhone has weak or nonexistent vibrations.
Vibration Setting Disabled
If you've noticed that the phone isn't vibrating when it should, make sure your vibration setting is enabled.
Faulty Vibration Motor
If the vibration setting is enabled, but the vibration has stopped occurring when it should, or if the magnitude has diminished, the vibration motor is probably faulty and will need to be replaced. Please refer to this vibration motor replacement guide for help.
