Asus X751MA-DH01TQ Troubleshooting

Your screen is on and lit up and when you try to move your cursor by moving your finger on the touch pad, it does not move.

There is a key on the keyboard that will disable the touch pad on your computer if pressed. So, if your touch pad is not working then click on the touch pad key located above the “7” and the “8” and has an f8 and a picture of a touch pad on the key. After pressing the key once, try your touch pad again to see if it works.

Check to see if your screen itself is cracked or if it is just your protector. Check the corners of your screen to see if the protector is on. If there is a protector peel it off slowly. If there is not a protector your screen is broken and needs replaced.

Test a new keyboard on another computer to see if the keyboard works if it is a wireless keyboard. If you have a spare keyboard try it on your device to see if the problem lies within the coding of the computer or the physical hardware.

The problem may lie within the devices software if so simply restart your device and test the keyboard once more. Restarting the device may restart the software in the computer and have the keyboard work once again.

Make sure that the charger cord is plugged into both the outlet and the laptop properly. If battery will not charge then your battery's capacity may have declined due to many factors. In this case, it's time to purchase a new battery.

The charging circuit in the laptop might be failing. The charging circuit is located inside the laptop in the motherboard. When the circuit fails whole motherboard needs to be replaced.

Inspect the charger cord to see if there is any visible damage. If there is any damage, there may be a temporary fix using electrical tape. This shouldn't be a permanent solution. Purchase a new charger for your laptop.
