I have the same issue with an MBP Early-2011. The LocigBoard had been changed some months ago, and since some weeks I have that flickering as well, it gets worse and worse. @gary lewis & oldturkey03: I found some picture of the possibly related Philips head screw mentioned in gary's post. Have a look here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19... is that the mentioned screw?
I added this note already in step 7, but want to make more visible for those that might encounter a broken cable:
Actually, on my repair attempt, one antenna cable broke (on the image the bottom right one in the red square in #7), I’m not sure whether it broke already before or was morbid somehow. Fact is: suddenly I had this cable in my fingers, and was sure I completely broke the macbook and need to find a new display now.
But as it turned out: the Mac is still fully working, including WIFI, BT, Camera etc. So apart from my huge relief, I want to address that these cables may break easily at their connection with the display. And that one antenna might be not mandatory for WIFI to work.

A non-electronic question: Here with my EF1, the front steerer tube has a bent screw. I think the pull was a bit intense sometimes. Now the folding mechanism can’t be fixated properly anymore and the steerer tube folds ocasionally.
My question is: Where can I get a replacement screw? Does anybody know the specs what screw to look for?
There seems to be a possibility to upgrade the mid-2012 MBP to 32GB Ram, there’s a thread on this on macrumours, but still nobody has confirmed it works and which modules to use.
Crucial SO-DIMM Kit 32GB, DDR3L-1600, CL11 (CT2KIT204864BF160B) might work - did anybody try this yet and can confirm any 32GB MBP9,1 is possible?
