There is a belt located under your record platter. That is the round aluminum piece that has the rubber mat on it. Remove the platter and check to see if the long rubber belt is still intact. If it is not, you need a new one. You should also see a brass gold colored shaft that sticks up. This is the motor shaft. When plugged in and turned on it on it should be spinning, You may have to place the arm over towards where the record would start to get it to spin. It it does not spin when turned on it is your motor and it need replaced. Chances are it is just the rubber belt.
Super glue is GREAT for cracks. That is the secret weapon of guitar repair people or what you might call a luthier. Just use the gel extra thick and some after you apply it use a spray bottle filled with water and a little baking soda to set it. This will cause a chain reaction and you might see a little smoke. You can also dip a q-tip in dry baking soda and apply it to you super glue. Wow. It’s magic!
It is called a speaker relay. It is there to protect your speakers from DC current burning them out. I could be that it just needs adjusted to lower the DC offset 99% of the time when the red protection light comes on or the relay does not make a sound or turns on then off, it is a bad component. It will need to be looked at by someone who is familiar with electronics.
Check the rubber belt is on under the platter that turns the record and put it back on. Invest is a much higher quality turntable something that was made just for playing records. YOU will hear the way records were suppose to sound!
Take your record platter off. Make sure the belt in on. If not, put it back on and then try it. If it is on, remove it and plug in the turntable.
