Hi Sarahhukill, With the iPad 2 the home button, as you know is adhered to the back of the screen and pressing on the 2 contacts on the Dock port. I would check the home button itself by holding it on the dock port contact and seeing if it activates properly when pressed (if it still needs to be pressed harder) it maybe that there is a fault with the Home Button and it needs replacing. Also I would check the adhesive is properly keeping it in place and it is aligned correctly as this might be causing you to need to press the button further to create the contact.
Meer informatiePieter-Jan, I would suggest disassembly is required as if you apply any pressure to the screen it will more thank likely crack. Once you have fixed the dent the problem should be fixed.
Meer informatieIt may be a loose connector if you have recently opened it up or had it repaired. If not then the likely hood is that it may need a new LCD.

Meer informatieLCD is likely to be broken, as from the sounds of it phone is still functioning, sometimes you cannot see the crack as it is around the edge or across the flex contact. The LCD on this model is quite thin and susceptible to breaking from drop damage unlike other iterations of the S model Phone's. New Screen Assembly is needed I'm afraid.
Meer informatieNathaniel, I would suggest swapping the earpiece speakers over, as the old one is in good working order. The new earpiece maybe faulty, which is one common cause for the no sound. Be careful with taking the old one out (last thing you want to do is separate the speaker coil from it's housing). This should fix your issue.
Meer informatieHi Vaughn, this is a fault that I have come across quite a lot, this is pertaining to the Touch IC chip's it is a manufacturing fault, and Apple should cover it as long as there is no physical damage and it is a known fault with the iPhone 6 Plus, I am unsure about Apple denying the existence of the fault as I have sent customers to Apple with this fault as my Specialist isn't well versed with this circuit board fault repair and I have followed up to find Apple had given them a new phone. The problem with this fault is that it can happen at any time of the iPhones life, granted physical damage, dropping the device does tend to speed the process up, which makes it a nightmare for the warranty on the device..
Meer informatieHello Andryson, As you may know liquid damage to an electrical device is a nightmare. I assume the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 was on at the time of damage, which even though you have used the Isopropyl alcohol it may have arched on the logic board. Lets talk about the Digitiser / LCD Screen Assembly - the fact the S-Pen works on the rest of the screen apart from the Right and Bottom Edge suggests that there is more a fault with the screen as the function works just not in those areas. If a new screen still exhibits this fault then it may well be a logic board fault, as you can understand the chips are highly sensitive as there has been/is corrosion on the Logic board you may find that the IC for the S-Pen has been damaged which will lead to the fault. I would suggest you check all the contacts for damage, and if need be repair the solder connections if there is notable corrosion or burnt out contacts. Hopefully this helps, let me know how you get on.
Meer informatieThe screens are adhered together by a thick OCA, quite oily looking when removed. You are more than likely going to crack the LCD in the process as it is a strong bond even under a high (barely able to touch) temp separation it still takes ages to separate. I Now have to tell my customer the bad new about their Note 10.1 2014 Edition :(. So best to buy the sealed display unit if you are going to replace the screen.
