Hi Najala, Unfortunately we don't have a guide for that particular repair. There are some youtube videos about cleaning printer encoders, you could watch some of those and try to pull apart your printer and make it work. If you do, think about making a guide for it! Here's one video, but you'll have to disassemble the printer on your own. You could try looking for other printer guides or guides for other appliances to get an idea of where to start!

Hi Eden, Are you sure it has turned on? What is telling you that it is on? You may try a hard reset/factory reset and see if that helps. If it does not, it is likely a hardware issue.

To find out if it is your plug or the socket, see if you can borrow a friend's MagSafe. If theirs works, you need a new cable. If it doesn't, it is your socket and you can narrow down what the problem is from there.

Doug, Since it is an OEM assembly, it is not something that you can buy new. The parts that iFixit sell must come from salvaged or recycled devices.
