Meer informatieHi Phillip, You should first try a hard reset by holding both the power button and home button togather , Untill the phone turns off and restarts. If that fails then the best thing to do would be to try out a new lcd, to see if the flex has been damaged, the flex on the lcd is very fragile so it's likely to break. If a new lcd doesn't help then the issue would be logic board related and would require a replacment or component level soldering skills. Hope this helps Waseem

Meer informatieI've done a few lcd replacements on the 4th gen iPod touch, but the ones I did with the back replacement as well, seem to have some sort of problem, in your case I believe the it's the battery that's causing the problem, maybe a short, have a look inside and see if the 3 points of the battery are clear if so, replace the battery
Meer informatieJudging by what you have said, it seems like it's a hardware issue, the LCD assembly only contains magnets which trigger the sleep cable located with the HDD cable, to resolve this issue I would suggest a replacement of the Hard drive/ IR Sensor cable Hope this helps
