Steps to fixing the "Searching" for cellular service problem. First try these basic steps: 1. Hard Reset Device 2. Reset network settings Still not working? Heres how i just fixed one: Remove logic board from phone. Cellular antenna is at the top left and is connect by 4 connectors. The cellular antenna grounds out on the frame of the phone which turns the entire body of the phone into an antenna. Pop the antenna off and clean all connectors and grounding points with alcohol. Reinstall and test. Mine just had dust between the antenna and the frame of the phone.. This is likely why all of you are able to smack the phone and get service for short periods of time. The smack is closing the connection or knocking some dust off. Give it a thorough cleaning and make sure all connections go back together nice and tight and you will have a permanent fix.
Meer informatieiPads have a fault that sometimes puts them into a boot loop (dead battery logo, then apple logo, and repeats over and over when on a charger). This is caused by a completely dead battery on an ipad that was not powered off properly. The ipad thinks it is suppose to stay on, but the battery is dead. So when you plug in the charger the ipad immediately tries to turn on but is so dead it shuts back off and repeats.. There are a couple of fixes for this, but this is the easiest one that I have found. All apple devices have a temperature protection circuit that will turn off the device if the temperature gets either too hot or too cold. If you put the device in the freezer for about 45 minutes and immediately put it on a charger when you take it out it will allow the device to get enough charge to properly boot up. Note: If you have already tried to restore the device you will need to hook it up to itunes and complete the restore after the device has a decent charge (10% or greater). Hope this helps others, it...

Meer informatieThe ipad mini i was just working on would keep activating the home button and kept going to siri.. I first tried to cover the contacts on the home button flex like others in this post suggested with no luck. I also used some doubled sided 3m tape to create cushions on both sides of the home button (leaving the backing on the tape to give a little more thickness) to raise the button up from the frame a little to give it a little relief. This solved by problem. Not sure if it was just the extra cushioning i added or if it was a combination of cushion and covering those exposed contacts. After changing 3 digitizers and getting the same problem everytime im just happen to close out that ticket and move on..
Meer informatieJust fixed this same problem. I had replaced the lcd screen on an iphone 5 and the earpiece didnt work after. Heres how i fixed it. I went back over all of the ribbon connectors to make sure they are all seated well. That didnt fix it, so i took the earpiece off and cleaned the two copper contacts (attached to camera's ribbon connector that the earpiece prongs make contact with. After cleaning them with my contact cleaner pen i made sure they were properly aligned so they earpiece prongs would be touching them. Then when i went to reassemble i flipped over the 3 ribbon connectors and blew them out to make sure there was no dust or debre hendering there contacts. Reassembled and it worked fine. Not sure which of those three steps did it but you might as well do them all while your in there. Hope it works out for everyone else like it did for me.
