The nabi ports are plastic. We have replaced them but it is very hard to find a port. Most of the time you have to buy a junk tablet to get the part from.

Sounds like you need to try a new glass digitizer. The glass senses your touch. Not the lcd.

You will need to rebuild the traces using thin wire and scraping the board to recreate new jumpers to the pins on the back of the port. Not an easy task and no way to truly show you or tell you without being right there with you. It is possible though.

Nick what are you talking about? It's a hack repair if you don't use LOCA or do a half a** job. Speak for yourself on this one. If you have trouble or can't complete it 100% ,don't do it but surely don't blame the tools. When we do it at RockIT Repairs the phone looks like it was repaired at the factory. Yes definitely remove the lcd for a galaxy s5 screen replacement service. At times when we do a s4 glass replacement and the touch stops working. You may need to re-apply the LOCA. If there is too much liquid optically clear adhesive in between over time it can expand a little bit and cause this issue. Hope this works to fix your touch not working from the s4 glass replacement. There are contacts inside the device most likely where the speaker must be pressed against to function correctly. Has the phone been taken apart?
