You need to find out if it’s turning on or not. Try plugging it into a PC and pressing the power button after charging. You should be able to tell if it’s booting up or not. It could be that the LCD cable came loose when you dropped it.
Meer informatieBen Unfortunately that link Jayeff posted is to a USB port for the 7th Gen Fire HD 10 USB port. The correct one you need is this: Fire HD 8 L5S83A 8th gen USB port Also if you do a search for USB ports using that model you will find more of the same incorrect ports which you said you already purchased twice already. This is the only one I found that has the correct port pictured. Looks like they used a motherboard to show them matching side by side. Hope this helps. Best Richard
Meer informatieHi Jonathan, I was just doing some research and noticed that although helpful jayeff linked the port for the Fire HD 10 5th gen / 2015 model which has this P/N SR87CV . You have SL056ZE for the 7th gen / 2017 HD 10 and you need this USB port. Might be other sellers cheaper but with 100% buyer satisfaction on a listing and over 100 sold there must be a reason. Like he said above there are TONs of various USB ports even in the micro B type. 5, 7 & 11 pins (I’ve even seen 6 on a few odd Samsung models). Middle mount, reverse mount, short, long, through hold, SMT, top or bottom mount, flange and no flange and the list goes on. Good idea to stick with a seller that looks like they specialize in just USB ports or similar components. If they also are selling lingerie & toys (not for kids) I have high doubt of the seller’s knowledge of the replacement parts or any other product they sell. Also it is very important you get the year / generation correct. They use a different port for each variation with few...
Meer informatieIf it shuts down consistently at the exact same time every time I would suspect that something like an app or some apps not configured correctly or even something is the settings is causing it. It could be many things. If you don't have anything too important I would suggest doing a hard reset using power and volume down when you boot up to enter fastboot, them volume down to select Recovery then power and volume up to get into the next screen, choose Wipe Data/Factory Reset then Delete All User Data. It will delete all your data but if you can't get past the security swipe you can't access it anyways unless you have TWRP installed. After that setup your account and take note of anything funny and what you did before something acts up. Installing TWRP recovery is a good future precaution to restore back to an image you can create at any time then when have a problem you can use the buttons to restore to that point.
Meer informatieI dis-assemble hundreds of Nexus 7s every month and sell the parts. To be sure your MB is dead 1st you need to make sure your connections are all good. If you know your battery isn't "bricked" that is also important. If they sit for too long without use they will become so dead they can't be charged with a USB cable or other conventional methods. People often mis-diagnose one or the other. If it has been taken apart and you press power and see nothing on the screen it doesn't mean it didn't power up. The LCD or LCD cable could be the issue. To rule this out I often will plug them into a PC that has fastboot and ADB drivers installed. Fastboot would be more important here. I would hold power for at least 30 seconds and watch your PC and listen for a device connecting. Often when they are "dead" they will still show something is connected. Either it will say "device not recognized" or possibly (APX device). If you are sure your connections are good then that almost always means it is bad. If you hear...
Meer informatieHi! If you still have the problem I may be able to help. Did you install TWRP custom recovery or another custom recovery? Is it a 1st or 2nd gen? What method did you use to root it?
Meer informatieIt sounds like the battery is either bad or came disconnected or possibly another cable between where the USB port is and the battery is loose. Check all cables and clips and make sure everything is seated correctly. Also take note of the shape of the battery. If it looks puffy and bloated it is going bad or is bad and is unsafe. If you smell anything funny coming from the battery it is Li-Ion gasses and another sign you need a new battery. Good luck.
Meer informatieI had the same problem and purchased a USB port repair kit from this seller. It worked like a charm. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Beats-by-DRE-Wireless-HeadPhones-Replacement-Micro-USB-Charging-Port-Repair-Kit-/281506275208?ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT
Meer informatieIt is most likely the PCB in the battery. It might work but you won't know when it will die. I have seen the same thing before. This seller has good ones and this listing is for 4325mAh version which is 55mAh more capacity than the 4270mAh battery but most important is it fits better which means it won't be able to come loose as easily. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Google-ASUS-Nexus-7-OEM-3-7V-4325mAh-16Wh-Li-Polymer-C11-ME370T-Battery-OEM-/400617717795?ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT
Meer informatieIf all the other methods do not work it could be the obvious and often is. The batteries on these units are known to be faulty and not just because of use but they have a PCB inside them like most batteries do these days. Something in that part is what I suspect stops the battery from accepting a charge. Usually if all else fails a replacement battery will do the trick. You can find them here for a decent price. I got a few myself using "best offer" and they accepted at a very reasonable price.
