Hello, my name is Katelyn!

I started working with iFixit in 2023 with my technical communications class. I am good at writing specialized pieces and instructions since I started working with iFixit! I hope that my skills and knack for technical writing can help people worldwide preserve their devices and lower tech waste.

I went to high school in Keller, Texas. I have written a few handling guides and safety instructions for animal care and safe restraints during my high school career. I am currently a full-time undergraduate student at the University of North Texas.

I am very passionate about nature and specifically the ocean, I want to eventually work in the marine biology field. I’ve been interested in sharks since I was able to read. (Fun Fact: The whale shark is the biggest fish in the sea while blue whales are the largest living mammal on earth!) I love to work out and lift weights in my free time. I’m also very interested in cars and motorcycles as well.
