It depends on the year, make, and model of vehicle. You can access the key and key fob programming instructions free online from Keyless Entry Remote Inc. They have a list of all year, make, and model vehicle key and key fob programming data.

My first suggestion is to buy a new button pad that has he connectors attached properly. You can buy them online, I suggest finding your vehicle year, make, and model on this website https://keylessentryremotefob.com Another suggestion would be to place tin foil as a substitution for the connectors. That should get you by for awhile.

To change the battery in a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer car key, follow these steps: (1) Locate the small notch or slot on the key fob. It's usually on the side where the keyring is attached. (2) Use a small flathead screwdriver or a coin to gently pry open the key fob by inserting it into the slot and twisting. Be careful not to damage the fob or scratch it.
