Dear all! I'm very happy i have fixed my 3rd generation kindle after a lot of work. I'll list the things I did, although I can't guarantee the order the it took place in making it working again, or even if they were all really necessary.. however it's fixed! First the biggest symptom: my kindle won't charge. When I plug it to charge, the orange light comes up for a few seconds and then turn off, without changing the screen. Hours and hours plugged in have not worked, always the same with the orange light on for a few seconds then off. My first conclusion was the battery has gone.
