Hi All, I have an iPad Air 2 in for a battery replacement today however the iPad powers on when turned off and then plugged into power but doesn’t charge. Also, when changing the battery, again it powered up and showed 85% power and showed as charging for a few seconds and every time I tried to disconnect the battery and reconnect it powered up from the cable but then doesn’t charge at all. Then I found that the battery power level was increasing slowly but not showing as charging. After then putting the old battery back in and powering on from the charging cable it shows as charging but staying at 7% for about 20 minutes or so and then I turned the iPad off and back on again and still showed as charging but down to 5% now. A little confused.
Meer informatieI’ve just had the same issue with an iPad Air where there was a rather frustrating bit of dirt caught between the digitiser and the lcd and wouldn’t move by just lifting the glass with a suction cup just a little and flicking/tapping the glass so I cut a thin strip of the plastic film that covers the adhesive on the back of iPad batteries (about 0.5cm wide) then heat the side of the digitiser just enough to lift it a tiny bit and then insert the plastic film making sure it’s perfectly clean and slide it in to where the bit of dirt was and simply swipe it away and now it’s perfect again. Just need to make sure it’s clean and you don’t smudge any digitiser adhesive onto the digitiser or lcd.??
Meer informatieHi All, Just thought I’d ask for anyones thoughts on this and if anyone has had any success before with this particular way to replace the newer iphone screens and eradicate the display warning message. A nearby repair shop sent me an email some months ago with some questions about certain methods I use for some repairs and they mentioned to me that they had replaced an iphone 11 screen and couldn’t power off the phone due to no touch but then also forgot to disconnect the battery so the screen was replaced live and when they tested afterwards it had no Apple display warning message and even after restarting the phone it wasn’t there and also survived iOS updates. I’ve not tried this before for obvious reasons but wondered if anyone else had done this before or heard of the same thing. Thanks. Marcus.

Meer informatieI’m trying to find something really good for back glass glue as well. I’ve been using B7000 for all the edges of the frame and around the camera then middle areas and then a spot of superglue on each corner and a few more near the centre so that if holds tight while the B7000 sets and this seems to work ok but still looking for something better. I was just recently thinking that I could use the same “hot glue” which is used for iPhone middle frames and have to be laminated and thought that maybe if this same glue and laminating can be used for fitting the iPhone back glass as I always remove the board, battery and rear camera before removing the broken glass anyway so laminating won’t bust anything internally. does anyone know where to get this “hot glue”?
