Mine used to do that all the time too. I was using distilled water, and it was almost like the particulate in the water was so low that the coffee maker thought it was running the pump dry. I switched to tap water, and have only had the problem one time since.
From others who have had this issue, it looks like you can carefully rinse it under warm (not hot) water from the tap. Maybe this would remove whatever is causing the stick?

Sounds like it could be the same issue, although this is in the context of a lid that’s stuck open as opposed to stuck closed. I did this too and left it throughout the repair. Super easy, and prevented phone from slipping and damaging the display cables.
