My Saab 9-3 Turbo does this, sometimes after it rains too. I think it is likely the CPS - Crank Position Sensor. Or possibly the O2 sensor. I heard if you try to start it and the rpms stay at zero it means it is the CPS. Keep in mind, I am not a mechanic, but may be worth checking. Good luck!
Meer informatieYes, like they said all over. You will have to decide first if the lcd is in tact first. If there is a picture still and only the outer glass is broken an outer lens can be purchased for much less and once the broken glass is removed using a heat gun or heat plate and cleaned off then replacement can be glued on using UV glue or Loca glue same thing. However, the repair is pretty difficult and can result in a broken lcd anyways if your not careful. But, it could mean the difference of $150 or more. So, if you are handy with repairs, it may be worth trying, rather than replacing the whole assembly. Hope this helps.
Meer informatieReally when it begins to be loose there is not much you can do except replace it. Sooner or later it will get worse and your USB port will be completely useless, so its better to just replace it like they said. I think the manufacture wants them to break because they often don't have much solder holding them in place. You can be sure to solder it on securely if you do it yourself and you can even add a little epoxy to make sure it stays in place a lot longer this time.
Meer informatieThe USB port for that device is very uncommon and it is not likely you will find one that is an exact match. I have been selling USB ports for a while now and so far have not found the 100% correct fitting part, despite much effort. Turns out one of my customers was able to fix his Vizio tablet using a USB port he bought in my store. He said it was close enough to the original and his technician was able to bend the legs a little and get it to fit on the board. I can't guarantee it will work for everyone, but if you are hopeless and want to try it, here is the link to the part. This method has been successful, so I thought I would share it with you. I would appreciate to hear back from those who decide to try it. Sounds like the options are limited, so I hope this helps.
Meer informatieActually, I would like to add that the charging port is in fact a Micro Type B, however it is not standard, by any means and its doubtful you will find them on digikey or mouser. It is actually one of a kind and a very unique part as is often the case with these replacements. I had been searching a long time to find this part to fix my Fire tablet, since no common Micro USB would work. I finally did find an OEM one at http://www.foxpcparts.com the price was reasonable, considering how difficult it was to locate and the part was new. They also had them in their ebay store, though they cost a little more. As far as replacing the charging port, it requires a heat gun and handheld soldering iron and a little experience. If the port is broken off completely you may just need to remove any broken off pieces and absorb and clean up the solder from the mounting holes. Since these are through-hole pcb mount replacements, the legs will need to go through those holes and then you will have to flow solder into the leg...
Meer informatieJust a useful bit of info for all of you attempting to replace the micro USB connector on the HTC Evo's poorly designed charging port. If you are realizing that when soldered into place the cord plugs in upside-down. This is because the HTC Evo uses REVERSEtype micro USB port. I noticed there are a lot of sellers who are selling the incorrect part. This micro USB mounts to the reverse side of the board, so using the correct reverse style mount it fixes the issue I noticed some of you are running into. If you are looking for the correct replacement part, I found it here Fox PC Parts and it fit perfectly and has since been working great. So, I hope this solves the issues some of you are experiencing. You can also look at the teardowns of this model and you will see the difference I am referring to.
Meer informatieHello - It is likely that your USB charging connector is faulty or the inner pins are bent preventing it from getting a connection. This is actually a really common problem, more so than a faulty board. This is in part due to the fact this component goes through a lot of wear and tear from amount of insertions and withdrawals. If your phone has ever fell onto the ground while being plugged into the charger, that is another common cause of damage to the inner pin contacts. Anyways, if you are still experiencing problems with this phone, I would suggest replacing the USB connector first to see if that fixes it. It would be cheaper than replacing the boards and more likely to be the issue.
Meer informatieUnfortunately, this is a common problem for that model phone. The micro usb is a poor design in my opinion. I would be content with mini usb connectors. Anyways, if you know someone who is experienced with soldering you may be better off getting a new replacement. Just in case the USB is not defective. By the sounds of it the inner pins could be bent if you had to push it a certain way to get a connection. You can get a replacement connector herehttp://cgi.ebay.com/USB-CHARGING-SYNC-PORT-CONNECTOR-SOCKET-FIX-HTC-EVO-/160560941656?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=it... Still I would only recommend someone who knows how to use a solder iron or heat gun perform the repair. It may cost a little bit but it will likely be way cheaper then $120.
Meer informatieI have found replacement USB charging connectors at the link below. Apparently this is a common part that needs to be replaced in this model and it was a little difficult at first to find the correct part. Here it is. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...
Meer informatieAfter owning my HTC Evo USB came out completely. My friend knows how to solder fairly well so we decided to see if we could find a replacement online. Well I bought replacement on ebay that I thought looked like the Original. Unfortunately, I ran into the same problem the part was very similar although it was not mounted upside-down or reverse style. After doing a little more searching I found a seller on ebay (Fox PC Parts )who was selling the" Reverse Micro USB Port Connector for HTC Evo". It cost a little more but they shipped it very fast and they even included braided copper. Since my friend installed this one, it has worked perfectly and has already outlasted the original by a lot. So took a me a couple tries and some searching but it has paid off and I would recommend this seller to others who need this replacement USB component. From what I have been learning this has been a very common problem. So, I hope this helps because if I would have know earlier it would of saved me time and money.
