Hello to all with battery charging problems on modern electronics, the charging systems are designed to not explode due to overcharging. They gauge the charge everytime they are connected, there is a chip on the battery and a chip on the item (does not matter what it is,cordless drill, computer, phone etc. etc.) it remembers the history of both, it will not charge the same battery ever again if a dangerous fault is detected . Best suggestion is common to most in the know, plug in and wait till 100%, disconnect and cool, run till flat, wait till some residual charge returns (or not), recharge to 100%, run till flat etc a number of times. This can work on brand new or most batteries as it is recalibrating what the computer thinks is the charge. Remember a computer is not as smart as a chicken, it can only do what it is told to do.
Yes, hold the keyboard vertical, battery cover down and wipe with vinegar on a small cloth wrapped and taped around a stick (chopstick) . wait for awhile (10-15 mins) to neutralize the corrosion then “wash” well with water then dry. Wrap very fine sandpaper around chopstick/whatever tape on and sand and rub till smooth. Sanding can be done first, doesn’t matter.
