I still use this device as a MP3 player….occasionally, when I plug the headphones in the port/jack, the phone will power down.  Once the  headphones are in the port/jack,  I notice that the phone will power down and have to turn the power back on if the plug is moved from side to side (wiggled).  I know there must be a faulty connection/circuit.  Is there a fix?
