As others note on step 4... For reassembly, place battery in area loosely, and reconnect. Then shift the battery fully into position. Eyeball it to roughly get it into the right place, but don't stop there. Take a tool like the spudger and place the pointed end in the screw holes one by one. Shift battery until line up looks good with a bright light. I put back the screw in middle of battery, then the others, etc.
Changed my mind and went to a watch repair shop. They attached my watch band for free in 3 minutes. Amazon sells watch repair kits with a tool that probably would have also solved the issue: EFIXTK Spring Bar Tool Set with Extra 6 Tips Pins for Watch Wrist Bands Strap Removal Repair Fix Kit,72PCS Extra Watch Pins https://a.co/d/fh94N4V
Well.. My Timex Ironman watch is a 30 lap WR100. It has a different battery, CR2025. It's 5-10 years old. After doing most of the procedure, I'm punting. The tiny screws are difficult to work with, both for the backplate and for the battery holder. The spring pins for the watchband were a pain, perhaps because of being an older unit. I did have to remove one side of the band to have access to the backplate. Keys for success: Good work surface (for not losing tiny screws), good light, magnifying glass, tiny size screwdrivers, good eyesight, good dexterity. I got it all back together until the watch band. I could not get the pin to set/sit in properly. Gonna just buy a new watch altogether. YMMV, good luck!
Here's a handy video on youtube for doing a similar replacement, though not exactly the same model. It shows the latches clearly, nicely zoomed in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X72A3twu... - Timex Ironman Battery Replacement and Set Time - Timex Ironman Triathlon Shock T5K196
I took ours apart (Pet Power Brush 188FLI680) due to noise. I cleaned out the hair trapped in the shorter but wider part that is not the roller brush. There was dog hair caught between the small gear and the next part. I removed it with a couple very small screwdrivers and put all back together. Now the insides don't move. I've carefully lined up the parts. On looking closer, the gear is not in line with the roller. My guess is a year of pet hear stuck in there caused the parts to move on the axle. Suggestions welcome. Thanks.
