I also had a great deal of difficulty. I had to apply the adhesive remover 5 times before I could wiggle the card underneath the first battery sections. And it left the adhesive on the computer case; it did not remove the adhesive along with the battery sections.
That happened to me too! I thought that was what was supposed to happen, until I read your comment. I managed to peel it off the battery, but before I could catch it it rolled up into a tight ball. I got about half of it unrolled and onto the ribbon.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2. The USB charging port is not working reliably. I read this repair guide, got the part, and set about replacing the USB charging board. Unfortunately, when I opened the phone, it does not look like the photos in this guide. To start, there are six screws instead of seven. Then when the back is removed, there are not "two black screws" to be removed. Finally, the motherboard is completely different from what is shown here. It is one single board, with the USB charging port board incorporated. It cannot be removed to replace it. So the part I bought does not work with my Samsung Galaxy S2. Is there another guide to help with my model of this phone?
