The frequency response has been tested (search Crinacle). It’s definitely a consumer oriented frequency response with some bass and treble boost, but they do the bass boost better than the other 350 dollar noise cancelling twins with a ramp up that only starts below 100Hz. Of course, these aren’t studio monitors, and most consumers will prefer this FR. If that’s worth over double the price of the frequently on sale Sony’s is another question.
Is there a replacement roller brush out there that doesn’t massively overcharge for shipping? It seems like they stopped making parts for this model? If a third party started to that would be awesome.
Definitely looks closest to identical to the iPhone 8 camera sensor, and the XR sensor is definitely ruled out at this point. Wonder if the optics are any changed, or if it’s just straight up the iPhone 8 camera with the A13 enhancing images with smart HDR 2.
Ah, is that it? If they’re going to do hyjinx like that they should be listing which cache level, as Intels ARK doesn’t’ do that.
The Xeon platform used is limited to PCI-E 3.0
One thing that’s curious is that Apple lists almost twice the cache of the 28 core Xeon W than Intel does, 68MB vs 38 iirc. Is this a semicustom part? Do other Xeon Ws work as drop in upgrades?
The ghost sound was likely the gasket that helps equalize pressure, methinks? Reviews said you can hear them blocking your hearing like normal IEMs for a second, and then they “release”, and then you feel unblocked.
That wasn’t too bad, all fixed!
Just try to get the pull tabs out straight and clean, otherwise having to manipulate the battery (which seems to bend easy!) can be worrying.
Seems like they had the space to work with in there to make this use higher wattage parts. As it stands, it’s effectively a 15W ultrabook tier APU in a 15” housing, with the main (and possibly only) benefit for the larger size being the larger screen itself, instead of something like the XPS 15 or MBP 15 etc that use the larger size for higher TDP chips.
Nice work gang. Re: Improved battery monitoring, can you confirm if Apple ditched the Dialog power IC and made their own as was rumored?
