Dan, I have done nothing I just kept it in standby mode, I have connected My MacBookPro to ann external strtup drive connecetd to my iMac, with working display....no action plus I try with Mac Os Installing disk and pressing C key or Option key....no action how can I connect iMac to MacBookPro ? Thank you !

I had mine changer by Apple for free even with no warranty, after lots of calls in the past two years

ALmost same problem as above on a iMac 17" with built in camera after a while using a vertical band of lines 1" more ore less quite in the middle, I shut down and restart and same thing again and again screen, graphic chip or logic board ? Thank you Robin

I had the line 1 appearing, then line 2, and line 3 it took several months before it became unbearable, after several calls and personal questions to Apple, and different answers, I finally payed Apple 35 Euros, instead of 500, and had the problem solved. This is only, I think, with iMac G5 17" with built in camera.
