Hey Tom, Im not actually sure, but i’m sure this teardown could answer your problem: Demontage van de MacBook Air 13" Retina 2018 Hope this helps!! All the best, Nolan
Hey James, I believe that the best thing to do is to open it up and check the wiring. A screen flickering issue seems like a loose wire or a bad solder joint to me. Hope you get it fixed, thats a heck of a deal if you do! Cheers, -Nolan
Hey, I actually don’t know how to fix this. But maybe if you try leaving it plugged in to a wall outlet for a while you might get some results. If the phone vibrates when you plug it in then clearly its not completely dead. I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help, I just figured that I should reach out. I hope you get it sorted out, -Nolan
Hi Kristan, If there was smoke coming out of it I highly doubt it can be fixed. The battery is definitely done, and because it was on fire my guess is the internals are shot too. I’m so sorry this happened! My best advice is to make sure the phone gets properly recycled. Hopefully this doesn’t happen again!
Hey! So all cameras have a standard tripod screw. I'm sure that you can buy one somewhere. If you find the part you can probably just epoxy it in there. I did some digging around and it seems that this is somewhat a common problem with this camera; someone else had this same problem just a few months ago. The person that replied seems to really know what they are talking about, they definitely know more about this than I do! You can see their answer here, it seemed very helpful. stripped out triPod mounting hole in the aw130 Good luck! Hope this helps! If you have any other questions let me know! :)
