There are two possibilities that might cause this issue. First, ensure that the power adapter is plugged in and the screen shows the charging icon (a large lightning bolt in the center of screen will appear before it is replaced by a battery icon in the top right corner that includes the charge percentage). Allow the phone to charge until the indicated charge percentage reaches 10%, then press and hold the power button for 3-5 seconds until the Motorola logo screen appears. Allow the phone to completely charge before unplugging. If this does not solve the issue, you will need to replace the battery.
An unresponsive touchscreen could be caused by a setting issue. To check this possibility, go to settings, then display and deselect automatic brightness. Make sure that the screen brightness is set above 10%. If the screen is still unresponsive after you have deselected automatic brightness, you may need to replace the screen.
If the earpiece does not produce any sound, make sure that the volume is turned up and the phone is not muted. You can check both of these by pressing the volume control buttons of the right side of the device. If you still cannot hear anything from the earpiece, it may need to be replaced.
A flickering screen could be caused by a few different issues. First, make sure that the screen brightness is set above 10%. A common problem with this Motorola model is that screens flicker when the brightness setting is below 10%. If this is not the case for you, you may need to replace the screen or motherboard.
