If your oil is not low, car not over heating, or sluggish to boost off (manual or auto) nine times out of ten with Cameros it's a loose converter bolt, flexplate issue or cracked flywheel. You didn't mention if the knock can be heard only from inside, with hood open or only while driving. If it were a piston knocking under the hood you'd hear it knocking a mile away. Shaun

Hello, Sorry for your troubles. In all my years of computing , anything wet is salvageable for parts only. Drying a device right out - still leads to future problems. Batteries have a lifespan of X amount of cycles. Hardware components have X amount of life expectancy under "normal usage" conditions. Because the device got wet - and it seems like it got liquid spilled on it - not a cpl drops - based on your details - of tarring it apart and re-detailing it - which is not good. All those tiny little board pieces are malfunctioning slowly because there is moisture still left in there that you can not get at without a proper work area and tools. The battery calibration is shot and that tells me the battery got soaked and whoever had it before you slapped it back into the MBP - and as you already know disaster strikes. The payload on your Chrome Book is what is causing it to stagger. How much RAM is being used and why? That would be where I'd start. Unnecessary tabs and apps left open running a constant connection check doesn't help either. On my own tablet, documents with Google Drive - offline mode kills your battery and lags the heck out of the device because of constant syncing. On my tablet I also killed extensions except uBlock and Signal encrypted messaging. Browser extensions and aps for and from Google lately - and at the moment - are malware writers holy grail. Lots of slack ap developers (skript kittens) not knowing what they are really doing and that sets up a hacker, malware author, or code sniffing to inject and resubmit the aps as their own renaming it. Whatever you don't really need on your laptop - uninstall. And of course reboot at least once every two days. Firewall - Outbound Rules - not filters. Android Device - never run a defrag program. Sorry about your vehicle. I'd be just triggered if it were mine. I will assume you checked to make sure all the opening and closing parts under the hood have been sealed, and the oil/rad cap are on tight and he or she didn't forget about them. Are your sparkplugs snug, gaged correctly and distributer all working in harmony? It could be loose some where. If you are reading this, check your oil - if you haven't already since you posted. If it's tar color the person used refiltered oil. Not good. Or maybe the mechanic didn't put enough oil in. Not sure how accredited the mechanic is but something stupid (like debris) could have got in with the new oil. Check all your hoses because pressure is very low according to your post. The oil the mechanic used could also be synthetic or you were already using synthetic and he/she put in regular run of the mill oil.

Get into your device manager and scroll through all of your USB Controllers. The ones with a yellow triangle indicating issues means usually the driver(s) needs to be updated. Or it refers to a hardware error. I forgot to state: you could disable the power management on the USB hub. Windows tries to disable devices when not in use to save on power. As above, tree branch out the USB Controllers, root hub and right click properties. Tab Power Management and uncheck where it says allow PC to turn off device. Save and restart your PC. Did a little looksie around iFixit and one solution would be to Hold your Home Button and the Power On-Off sleep button for ten or so seconds. That should restore the Touch, Stabilizer, etc. If not it could be faulty part but I seriously doubt it is. Apple phone parts are built correct the first time. Sounds like the battery went rogue. How long have you owned the BB for? This problem usually happens from your BB being charged in a staggering time line. Plug in for 20 minutes, use for 35, plug in for 5 minutes, use for 10 min. Doing that and ripping the charge cord out fast (everyone has done it at least once) causes sub surges. That energy is sometimes stored waiting for a another kick to ignite (plugging it back in) so to speak. Take the BB battery out and plug in your device. Some BBs will operate without battery. Cab drivers used to do this all the time. If it heats up while battery is out, then your device chip and board is causing the over heating.
