You really should have included the camera as well,

I have done numerous iphone 6 front assembly replacements but the last two i ordered from ifixit have been defective which means one thing.. I just lost a client. If you order an iphone 6 full assembly, I would go ahead and order the most expensive one. The less expensive ones ( had this problem with the last two I ordered) do not close near the volume buttons.. you can see into the phone and there is a ripple right above the home button anytime the slightest pressure is put on the phone .. either on the screen or home button. Thats two assemblys being returned for being defective. I have been fixing phones for quite a while and this is the first time this has happened to me with any of the parts I ordered from ifixit. Pretty disappointing. Now I have to take this phone to a repair shop and pay them to do it and pay full price just so I can get the phone back to the client. What a bummer.

VERY IMPORTANT! Do you see that large orange ribbon cable in the picture. Dont expect to get that from the ifixit replacement part. You will need to remove it and replace it along with that small cable with the adhesive along the side. Both these notes should be in the guide. Also be careful that when you are pulling up that small piece of electrical tape that you dont pull that tiny lock lever off the connection. I managed to reconnect it...but a heads up on this would have been helpful. I would READ all the comments before attempting this repair.

That was one of the easiest fixes I have ever had and its marked Difficult. Ironically, the hardest fix to date was the lightning port on the 5s and that is marked moderate. That was far and above anything I have had to fix before and many missing steps. Even easier than the ipad mini! Just dont forget to compare parts or tape/foam covering old parts and replace on new parts.

also, dont forget to pull the black gasket from the old headphone jack and put on the new headphone jack.

why is it nec to remove the digitizer from the phone. as long as its propped up and not putting stress on the ribbon cables?

This guide left a lot of stuff out. If I had not studied the part I was replacing, I would have never known to pull some of the part off the old part and replace on the new.

I would add extra adhesive on the bottom and especially the right corner of any iPad mini replacement. Even with the digitizer cable folded properly there has still been a tiny gap between front panel and body. A little extra adhesive makes that go away.

i love this website but with the ipad mini, it would really be beneficial to have a reassembly guide because of the level of difficulty. There is a lot left up to chance. LIke the yellow tape that comes around the ribbon cable. Do we remove it or not? Some say do...the guide doesnt mention it at all because it just covers removal, not reassembly. Plus there are a few metal contacts that come covered that are not covered in the replacement digitizer.
