the correct fix would be changing out the dock connector which has the speaker in it,cheers supafixa

get a original ipad mini front camera as the replacements they sell online are for ipad air and that is why you are getting the yellow tint,the ipad air camera does fit the mini but does give you the yellow tint,i just changed a ipad mini 2 front faceing camera and ran into the same problem,i tried several camera's until I got frustrated with it then I looked closely at the original camera compared to the camera they they sent me and the flex is different so I went through all my ipad mini camera until I found the original type and that worked for me,hope it works for you as it can be incredibley frustrating,cheers Adam
