In my experience Asus laptops often have trouble with overheating but, I’m not sure that is what is causing your problem. If you move the screen does the problem change i.e a different screen color, splashes of color or even the screen turning off? If any of these symptoms occur you more likely have trouble with the screen cable. Often just reseating the side on the motherboard is sufficient buy you may also have to replace the cable.
Meer informatieI had this problem a while ago with a clients computer. After trying the usual troubleshooting by resetting PRAM etc. I took off the back to discover that there was massive corrosion on the powerboard and that the moisture indicator had turned red. After cleaning the electronics with Isopropanol, which will dry out moisture and also remove most corrosion, and removing the battery the computer started but ran very slowly. After also replacing the battery with a new one the system returned to normal
Meer informatieThis model has a belt drive system which can help reduce turntable noise. The downside of belt drive systems is that the belt has to be set at the right tension and should the tension be wrong it will affect the speed. A slack belt will turn too slowly and a tight one too fast. I haven’t seen this model but on most decent turntables there is a tension adjustment system which ,combined with a strobe light, can be used to tune the speed of the table. Another problem can be caused by an incorrect power source. It is important to know that 110 volts AC are usually provided at a frequency of 60Hz and 240 volts AC are usually 50Hz so if you have a model that was built for a 110VAC market such as the USA connecting it to a step down transformer in Europe with 240VAC does not change the frequency of the electricity and the motor on the turntable may run at the wrong speed or even burn out
Meer informatieThe drive is a custom blade drive in, I have replaced several of them using drives purchased from OWC with success. Sometimes the board needs to be resoldered using a reflow system if replacing the drive doesn’t work which is very expensive. I have occasionally done a ‘botch’ job by removing the board and putting it in a 150c temperature oven on a silicone mat for an hour or so but I don’t recommend it as it is very easy to destroy the board by overheating or warping if it is cooled too quickly
Meer informatieThis problem has nothing to do with the drive itself but is almost always caused by a bad connector between the board and hard drive. A large proportion ,around 10%, of macbooks that come into my lab for disk replacement have a perfectly good drive but a bad cable the problem seems to be most prevalent in the 2010 macbook pro

Almost perfect instructions. I do recommend removing the active pen first. Also it's a good idea to remind people that the active pen holder is screwed to the case cover from the inside and will come out as part of the cover.
