Mijn probleem

My battery in my Apple MacBook Pro 15" Mid 2010 was swelling inside my case and wasn't allowing the touch pad to be used so I had to remove it. I ordered a replacement battery from Amazon but after not receiving it after a week they sent me a replacement but then the first one arrived also. After trying each of them, neither was recognized by OS X so I returned them and ordered one from iFixIt.

Mijn oplossing

Since I had put other batteries in the computer before the install only took a couple of minutes. I booted my computer up and hooray OS X recognized it and was 75% charged already. I ran it on battery down to 5% then shut it down and charged it all the way up to 100% and then followed instructions I found on google on how to calibrate the battery.

Mijn advies

I just would like to say that this process with iFixIt has been the best experience I've every had with an online store. The order showed up in 2 days even though it was by ground. Box was great and oversized and was packed with protective material. After opening the inner box I was surprised with all the tools I needed to do the job. My only issue with the battery is that it only seems to have about a 2.5 hour life when on battery power and I think the original was able to stay on for 5 hours other than that I am thrilled to have my laptop back on a battery since OS X cripples CPU strength when running on power only without a battery. Thank you to all of you at iFitIt I will alway go to your site for anything I need to fix. Sorry no pictures since the whole process only took less than 2 minutes.
