Mijn probleem
The problems that indicated a yellow light of death of the PlayStation. With the power on with the red light showing on front of PS3, you hit the power button, it would begin to start for a few seconds change from a red light to a yellow light, the back to a beeping and flashing red light. Was unable to do a fan test or eject game from the PS3.
Mijn oplossing
I ordered the repair kit from ifixit.com. Probably could have went to RadioShack and saved 5 bucks or so, but how I see it, ifixit.com provides the instructions for free, so they completely deserve the few extra bucks. The step by step procedures made the job very easy. When the PS3 was completely apart, I took some pictures and put it on Facebook, man did I look like a professional. What a great feeling it was when I turned it on for the first time after the repair. ifixit.com, you guys rock. Sony wouldn't warranty the PS3, not cool, especially when the PS4 is coming out in a few days.
Mijn advies
Take your time, used a muffin sheet to collect the screws that were taken out during the process. Any removal of screws in each step went in a separate cup. One muffin sheet does the trick with room to spare. When it came to reflowing the soldier, I heated the larger two chips for 25 seconds each, then 25 seconds for each of the two groups of a smaller chips, then went back to the larger chips for addition 20 seconds because I felt that the first round wasn't enough time for the larger chips. PS3 works like a champ thanks for ifixit.com. Happy I made the purchase, was hoping I didn't waste my money. Thank you!!! It's not as hard as it looks!!
