Fix iPhone 5 Crack Screen

Mijn probleem

iPhone 5 screen cracked and need to be replaced. The Apple out of warranty repair will cost about $290 with tax and shipping.

Mijn oplossing

Ordered it on Friday, got it on Monday, priority mail came faster than I expected. It took me a little over an hour to fix it using the easy to follow illustrated online instruction on iFixit. The tools ordered with the package are very handy. The iPhone after replacement is good as new. Verify satisfied. Would recommend to any who need cracked iPhone 5 screen repair and not break the bank.

Mijn advies

The only issue I have is to remove and replace camera piece and home button.

For camera, it's held in a small plastic case that is held with some non stick glue (when dried it will hold it in place) for the easy alignment to the hole on the screen. So if iFixit can add such non stick glue to the tools package, it will greatly help with the replace and make it easily to replace the camera holder back on and aligned to the camera hole on the new screen.

For Home button, there is very think film that glue the button to the old screen. After remove it, the think film screen is no longer sticky. So after put it back on to the new screen, the action can be easily feel a little softer or sluggish as it's now held by the back support metal case. Again if iFixit can provide similar replacement stick thin film with the tools package that will be ideal.
