Macbook Pro DC inboard replacement

Mijn probleem

I was working on my Macbook Pro connected to the energy charger, then I needed to move the charger to other wall outlet. When I disconnect from the outlet and reconnect to other outlet the charger explode! and I immediately turn around to see my Macbook Pro an It was turned off completely.

I make an energy reset, then I can turned on normally. The charger was damaged, and then I use another Macbook Pro charger to try to charge my laptop, but doesn't work.

I came to iFixit and read about the problem related and the solution points to DC-in Board replacement.

I bought the part, and the tools, follow the guide and I FIX IT!

Mijn oplossing

I am a Informatics Engineer and I read the guide. I really think that is not too difficult to do the replacement, and I go and get it!. I follow step by step with all the precautions, and everything goes right.

When I finished, I just plug the new charger and immediately works. I turn the macbook pro on and works perfectly.

I really appreciate the very clear guide from ifixit, and the best thing that I can recommend to anyone is just follow the instructions, don't skip any step, and everything will be ok.

I am really happy that I am success with this, and I really trust in ifixit.com to make any repair in the future.
