Mijn probleem
I have a Xbox 360 arcade version I got for Christmas several years back, then maybe 2 years later it started showing three red lights and randomly freezing while playing games. Until I found iFixit I was resigned to waiting roughly 2-3 days between uses.
Mijn oplossing
Had some initial trouble opening the machine but when open it didn't take long at all to take it apart and apply the fixes, both the red ring of death kit and running the re-flow to reset the solder for the chips.
Mijn advies
Make sure when doing this repair to both do the solder re-flow and ensure you follow the steps as best as possible. If you don't have a heat gun for the re-flow then purchase a cheap $30-$50 gun from your local hardware store it will come in handy for future repairs as well as having some crafty uses. Oh for the re-flow the instructions only have low and high settings no temps, if you have a three speed heat gun then the settings used are second and third since the low setting is only about 50 degrees Celsius and used to cool the gun and to for drying things.
