Mijn probleem
The trackpad was belly-up, the cursor was possessed, moving around Ouija fashion while the screen kept sneaking back and forth between the "dashboard" and the main screen.
Mijn oplossing
There were a few moments of panic when I realized that this was not going to be as easy as the instructions for the mid 2010 13" MacBook Pro Unibody, and that I would have to get underneath the logic board to do the install.

Since there is no guide for replacing the trackpad on a MacBook Pro 15” Unibody Mid 2010 you can splice these two guides:

Follow this guide to step 24, “Carefully lift the logic board assembly from the left” - but you can just tip the logic board up and sneak the cable into place.
