  • Repeat the previous steps for the five remaining vise clamps: one at each of the four corners, and one in the middle of each long edge.

  • For larger tablets, more than six vise clamps may be needed to ensure the adhesive bonds evenly around the entire perimeter.

  • Using a hair dryer or heat gun, evenly heat the edges all the way around the device until they are slightly too hot to touch. The heat will help the adhesive form a more complete bond.

  • Don't overheat the device, or you may cause the battery to ignite or damage other heat-sensitive components, like the display.

  • While the device is still hot, tighten all six vise clamps down one full turn.

  • Don't tighten any further to avoid damaging your device.

  • Leave the vise clamps in place for about thirty minutes.

Herhaal de vorige stappen voor de vijf overige klemmen: plaats een klem in iedere hoek en een klem in het midden van iedere lange zijkant.

Bij grotere tablets kan het nodig zijn dat je meer dan zes schermklemmen gebruikt om ervoor te zorgen dat de druk evenredig wordt verdeeld en de lijm onder het scherm zich goed aan het toestel hecht.

Gebruik een föhn of warmtepistool om alle kanten van het toestel evenredig te verwarmen totdat deze net te warm zijn om aan te raken. De warmte zal de lijm verzachten en ervoor zorgen dat deze zich beter aan het toestel zal hechten.

Oververhit het toestel echter niet. Als je té veel warmte gebruikt, loop je het risico dat de batterij in brand vliegt of andere warmtegevoelige onderdelen, zoals het scherm, beschadigt.

Draai de knoppen van alle zes de schermklemmen, nu het toestel nog warm is, één hele draai aan.

Draai de schermklemmen niet verder aan om schade aan het toestel te voorkomen.

Laat de schermklemmen ongeveer dertig minuten op hun plek zitten.
