  • Ear cup grilles away! Each one has a single microphone stowaway, here to hear what the wearer is listening to, probably to then report back to the H1 chip for EQ adjustments. Or go directly to Tim Cook's earpiece.

  • Each 40 mm driver is held down by a few screws, one of them a gigantic standoff. We're momentarily stumped, and reach for our kitted-out Mahi driver kit. A torq-set #6 bit is ... not a perfect fit, but gets the job done.

Chacune cache un microphone clandestin prêt à écouter ce que le propriétaire du casque veut entendre, probablement pour le communiquer à la puce H1 qui va effectuer les dernières retouches d'égalisation adaptative. Ou pour susurrer directement dans l'écouteur de Tim Cook.

Chaque transducteur de 40 mm est vissé par quelques vis. L'une d'entre elles, une gigantesque vis d'entretoise, nous laisse d'abord perplexes. Nous sortons notre Mahi Precision Bit Set bien fourni. L'embout torq-set #6… n'est pas parfait, mais nous tire d'affaire.
