  • Despite its cheese-grater appearance, this new Mac Pro cannot grate cheese. This important consumer advice is brought to you by iFixit, the company that wonders: why doesn't anybody send us review units?

  • We cleaned and de-cheesified the outer casing (quite easily with a halberd spudger) before putting it back on the computer. So don't worry—it smells fine.

  • Time to open the case. We came to this teardown armed with many tools, but so far all we need is our fingers.

Ondanks dat deze computer het uiterlijk heeft van een kaasrasp, kan deze nieuwe Mac Pro geen kaas raspen. Dit belangrijke gebruikersadvies werd mede mogelijk gemaakt door iFixit, het bedrijf dat zich afvraagt waarom niemand ons reviewproducten stuurt..

We hebben de buitenste behuizing eerst schoongemaakt en ontkaast (wat vrij gemakkelijk ging met een halberd spudger) voordat we deze weer op de computer hebben gezet. Geen zorgen dus, het ruikt prima.

Tijd om de behuizing open te maken. We kwamen goed voorbereid en met veel gereedschap naar deze demontage, maar tot nu toe hebben we alleen onze handen hoeven te gebruiken.

Iets zegt ons dat de bovenste hendel kan draaien, verrassend gemakkelijk zelfs.

Net zoals Johann Schmidt met zeer veel gevoel de Tesseract bedient, onthult een beetje draaien en trekken hier alles wat onder de behuizing zit.
