- [* black] Once again Xiaomi packed a device with high end hardware not willing to make decisions between 5G and a 120 Hz screen. We will see if this tactic turns out to be battery life friendly or results in a higher rate of battery replacements.
- [* black] We're happy to see a inner design which allows separate battery and screen removals.
- [* black] With that said some things like the cable management are questionable and although most components are modular, some others like the charging port aren't.

+ [* black] Once again Xiaomi packed a device with cutting-edge hardware, being evidently unwilling to make decisions between 5G and a 120 Hz screen. Time will tell if they found a winning balance, or just made a phone that will quickly chew through dual-cell batteries.
+ [* black] We're happy to see an internal design that accommodates independent battery and screen removals.
+ [* black] At the end of the day it's still glued together, so reassembly won't be fun—but at least the adhesives used here aren't as tough as some.
